Bagless vacuums can be a great tool in your house for cleaning. It's obvious that the main feature of these machines is the fact that you don't have to have a bag installed in your vacuum in order for it to function.
There are a couple of misconceptions floating around that deal with these types of vacuums.
The first one is that because there is no bag, the vacuum is unable to clean as well as a typical vacuum. That is false. Not having a vacuum bag will not effect the suction power of your vacuum one bit (unless of course it's
a vacuum that is supposed to have a bag). The second falsehood is that bagless variety does not support any filters, such as a hepa filter.
Each of the issues mentioned above depend on the specific product which you purchase. Some vacuums will have a stronger suction and cleaning power than others, and some will have the option to install filters. Being bagless
will not effect any of these factors.
Advantages Of Bagless
These vacuums have some advantages over the typical vacuums with individual bags.- Easier to maintain because you do not need to replace bags
- Possibly less expensive as you do not need to purchase additional bags (this depends on how long you have the machine)
- Most bagless vacuums have a transparent cover so you can see if you need to empty it
- The transparent compartment will also enable you to see if you accidently vacuumed up an object you didn't want to

Great Hardwood Floor Vacuum
Hoover S2220 Flair Bagless Upright Stick Vacuum with Power Nozzle - I just had new hardwood floors put in my entire apartment (Bellawood beech select) and did a google search for "vacuum that won't scratch hardwoood floors" and it brought me here. As usual, the reviews are VERY informative and this one got some great ones so I figured I'd try it. Great price. I've had it a month now and it is GREAT. Very powerful. Picks up everything. I use it for the little rugs (2' x 3') I have in my kitchen and it does a great job on those, too. Make sure you press the lever ALL THE WAY DOWN and hear the LOUDER noise to know that it's on "carpet" setting. Otherwise you're on hardwood floor setting. Very long cord. Easy to clean. Boy does it get filled with dirt and carpet detritus. I clean it out after each use. The manual is very good. Really explains the very important chore of cleaning the cup and filter. Has not scratched my floors. VERY PLEASED WITH THIS VACUUM.
A Powerful Sucker
Eureka 4700D Maxima Bagless Upright Vacuum - When I bought the Eureka 4700A Maxima Bagless Upright Vacuum (Is it me or are product names getting longer?), I was looking for a dust buster, but I found the price and features too good to resist.
I was expecting one of those low-powered vacuums that would get all clogged up and would have to be replaced after a very short period of time.
I was delighted to find that this vacuum has an enormous amount of suction power and feels self-propelled. It does a very thorough job at picking up all of the dirt on my hardwood floors and on my rugs.
The 4700A is loud, but not loud enough for me to be dissatisfied.
Great Vaccum With Cool Upholstery
Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner - My 3 year old dirtdevil Vacuum cleaner gave up and I headed to the research room on Amazon to consider a replacement. After extensive research I zeroed in on this and Hoover 5507-900. Hoover was more expensive and did not have the tools and upholstery available on this Vacuum. I still had my doubts on Bissell hence I headed to Target to check the Vacuum myself. I was impressed with what I saw and I ordered this on Amazon.
Out of the box this Vacuum was very easy to assemble and quite user friendly. The motor was very powerful and it cleaned the dirt from the carpet with ease. It also had adjustable knob for power variation and had one for bare-floor surfaces. The dirt container was very easy to replace and the extra dusting brush with extension wand made hard to reach places very easy to clean. Whats more this vacuum worked like charm on my Vacuum storage bags. It removed the air out of the bag in 30 seconds flat.
I would definitely recommend this Vacuum cleaner who doesn't want to waste money on Hoover or even worse, Dyson, and still wants to keep clean.
